About The Convention
The Convention of Full Gospel Churches (CFGC) is a Charismatic, Holy Spirit-empowered Ministry Based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area with a Global Impact.
OUR BELIEFS
The Convention of Full Gospel Churches is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ as stated in Matthew 28:19-20:
CFGC has over four decades of experience serving churches and lay members.
We represent the Full Gospel, Charismatic, Holy Spirit-empowered believers attending more than 500 autonomous, affiliated Full Gospel, Spirit-filled, Charismatic churches.
We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the 66 Books of the Bible as originally given.
We believe in the Eternal Triune God.
We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of the lost and sinful man.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, through whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We also believe in the infilling of the gifts by the Holy Spirit (words of wisdom, words of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning between spirits, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues) as a separate and distinct experience for service in fulfillment of the Great Commission.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that they are saved into the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the creation, test, and fall of mankind as recorded in Genesis: our total spiritual depravity and inability to attain divine righteousness apart from God.
We believe in the Biblical view of marriage as a Sacred covenant between biological woman and biological man.
We believe that Biblical Sexuality can only be expressed in Biblical Marriage. Any other expression of sexuality is sinful.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very man.
We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried, rose again on the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples and others.
We believe in water baptism by immersion.
We believe that the Table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord’s Supper, is reserved for followers of Christ.
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan and the eternal judgment of Satan and his angels.
HOW WE SERVE OUR CHURCHES
We Professionally and Personally support our Affiliated Church Pastors through:
- Regular prayer (around our table at morning huddles) over the phone and virtually as requested.
- Mentor in your field of ministry.
- Regular check-ins via phone, email, and in-person.
- Hosts annual in-person professional development training, certifications, and spiritual renewal.
- Network with fellow CFGC Ministers.
- Continued advocacy for Religious Liberty at the National Level.
STAFF
The staff of Convention of Full Gospel Churches is called by God to be servants to the Servants of God.
We realize that ministry is full of awe inspiring and horrible moments and everything in between. We are called to operate the local church, send missionaries, and must hold each other accountable to the standards God has placed before us.
We offer encouragement, mentoring, counseling, training, resources, and great Christian fellowship.
